Reconnect & Restore
Bailey, CO - July 8-12, 2024
Come away to The Refuge at Lost Creek for a week of soul restoration. Designed for married ministry couples, this retreat will give you time and space to reconnect with each other, and be restored by God for the journey ahead. Whether you want to top off your tanks, feel depleted, or somewhere in between - let God reconnect & restore.
The Refuge At Lost Creek
Nestled in the majestic embrace of the Rocky Mountains, The Refuge is 200 acres tucked into 1.2 million acres of the Pike National Forest, with direct access to a highway for convenience. Far from roughing it, the stewards have created rustic chic cabins of comfort and special touches. The Community Lodge and outdoor gathering spaces provide opportunities to connect, yet plenty of opportunities for privacy.
FAQs
Is this place too remote?
No. It is removed, but not remote. The Refuge’s driveway connects to the local highway, there is reasonable cell service, and if you really can’t unplug they have high-speed WiFi available. Two small towns are within 10 minutes, but you can wander out the back door to 1.2 million acres.
How do we get there?
The Refuge is located about 90 minutes from Denver International Airport. A rental SUV with AWD/4WD is recommended to navigate the driveway, and for some exploration on your own. Once you arrive, you can stay put for the entire retreat, or use it as a base camp for exploration.
There must be an agenda?
Yes, but that’s between you and God. We have an orientation on the morning of Day 2 to the retreat center, provide some suggested reading / journaling for you to do on your own, provide meals, and are available around the campfires and on the front deck. Opt in or out - your call.
Are there group activities?
It depends on what you and the others want. Some days we may offer to meet up at a local attraction for fly fishing, hiking, or just to enjoy a special place. Again you can opt in or out - there’s no pressure. Evening gatherings on the deck or at the campfire are popular.
What’s included?
Five days and four nights in one of the most amazing places we’ve ever been. A cozy cabin with thoughtful touches like memory foam mattresses. Each day there is a breakfast buffet, simple lunch (available for you to pack if you’ll be out for the day), and an evening meal.
Is this place for real?
Yes. The pictures on the website were taken at the retreat center - Prayer Rock, Mountain Lion Den, and the Community Lodge. It’s Unplugged and Unplanned by us - discover God’s agenda for your restoration at your own pace, in a spectacular place.
